Apple today released iOS 4.0.2 and 3.2.2 which address the PDF security vulnerability that allowed the web-based jailbreak and potentially opened the door for malicious websites to gain root level access to any device running iOS.
- iOS 4.0.2 addresses the issue for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 as well as the 2nd and 3rd generation iPod Touch. See Apple Knowledge Base article HT4291 for more information.
- iOS 3.2.2 addressed the issue for the iPad WiFi and iPad WiFi+3G. See Apple Knowledge Base article HT4292 for more information.
To update, simply connect you iOS powered device to a system running iTunes 9.2.

Unfortunately for those still using the first generation iPhone or iPod Touch, the issue remains unpatched and still an issue.
