Apple’s digital publishing sweet could see an update as soon as August 8, according to the French Mac site Mac4Ever. That would put the release in the US on Friday, August 7th, which does not sound like an Apple release date. I would place the release date closer to August 3 or August 10, both of which fall on a Tuesday, the day Apple prefers to release new products.

Features rumored to be part of iLife ’11 include:

  • Native 64-bit support for all applications
  • Improvements in iPhoto’s faces & places
  • Improved social networking integration
  • Revamped iWeb interface
  • iDVD will be removed, but will remain available as a download (like iMovie HD)
  • MobileMe gallery in beta, with faces & places support

Additionally, the report claims that iLife ’11 will include a new mystery application. Anyone want to take a guess as to what it could be? I am going to go out on a limb and say iLife ’11 will include an application for users to publish to iBooks. [Mac4Ever (Translated)]
